Where to shop local in Puerto Vallarta
For fresh produce, meat, fish and tortillas, locals shop at the city’s municipal markets. Two of the best known are the Mercado Municipal Emiliano Zapata, in Colonia Emiliano Zapata (Zona Romántica), and the Mercado Municipal 5 de Diciembre, in Colonia 5 de Diciembre north of the Río Cuale.
